Accident with Cow

This was a beauty! We got this call, south of the US 60 on Hwy. 79, that an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) van was involved in an accident. We arrive and the driver informs us that he hit a cow going southbound and that the cow was somewhere off the side of the road, dead. The front end and passenger side of the van was pretty smashed up, (of course) but during our examination of the vehicle, we noticed this mark. Yeah, you know what it is.......the cow was hit so hard it knocked the poo right out of him! Unfortunately I had another call so I did not find the cow, but as it stands it's Van-1, Cow-0.

Bugs!

What happens when you mix humidity, standing water, farm lands and mother nature? You get tons and tons of mosquitoes and bugs!! I worked in Florence Wed. 16 and Thurs. 17 night and this is what happened to my car. Pretty crazy. They were swarming all over the place and when I got out of the car, they would attack me. I went to the County Headquarters and took off my uniform and vest cause I could feel bugs crawling in my clothes. a couple bugs fell on the ground when I took my vest off, but when I unholstered my taser, a big moth flew out. That was pretty funny. Get the bug spray out and do what you can to survive, they're taking over the world!!

Me & BLM

Here is a pic of my patrol car and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Look how tiny I look compared to those guys!!! They are a Federal Department and they were evicting someone off their property. The reason being is the guy lives on Federal land and has a mine shaft. Well, the rule is, if you have to provide proof that you are mining (with samples of what you are mining) on the property in order to live on the land. The guy did not provide the proof and we went early in the morning on April 21st and woke him up at gun point (we got word that he may be hostile). The BLM guys notified me that there might be an additional guy on the property who has outstanding warrants out of Pinal County and that he was living in an additional house on the property. The cool part was that I got to kick in the door to that house.....but he wasn' t there. :( The Feds seized everything on the property and they bulldozed everything else. This was a 9 year ordeal. Good Times!!

I'm trying to develop this site to post funny, stupid or just random stories about the like of a Peace Officer. It should be pretty interesting, because you know me, I'm a nut!! Stay tuned as I put this together...I'm just starting blogging and I don't want it to be mundane!
